HomeGauge Internet Tools just got better! Again!
Back in August we completed Phase 1 of our Internet Tools upgrade (see the August News Alert). Phase 2 is coming October 14! These Internet Tools upgrades are in preparation for HomeGauge Software Version 4, which is on the way. There are improvements that can be enjoyed now, but will work better when the software upgrade is available. Here are some differences that can't be matched in our new Gold/Platinum upgrade:
Assign viewing to individual parts of the report: Now you can upload your report and decide which party has viewing and printing access to parts of the report. For instance, you can upload the report and let the agent see the report, but NOT the invoice. Or, only allow the summary to be viewable by the agent. This will work for any party involved and will be automatic in the 4.0 upgrade. Note: if you are using the current version (3) it will still work, but you will need to upload the documents separately (i.e. the report, then the invoice, etc.). More control and better management is just one of the many benefits of using our Internet Tools.
Create or add multiple agents or customers: Another feature is the ability to create or add multiple agents or customers, either in version 4.0 of the software, or online at your uploaded reports page. Now it's easy to add an agent or customer to the uploaded report and assign viewing and forwarding permission online. This comes in handy after the report is uploaded and the customer wants a copy sent to their spouse or relative. Or perhaps the listing agent, with the customer's permission, needs a copy of the report. Now you can easily add another person to the report, with or without your software!
Dashboard: Provides a quick scan of delivery and gives you the ability to quickly spot problems in the delivery or pickup of the report. These changes are visual. You'll see that the look is designed for you to scan at a glance. With the use of color and icons, you'll be able to spot instantly whether or not you have sent the report link, given permission to view or not, or if they have viewed the report yet. With automatic color changes after 12 hours, if they have not viewed the report, you will be able to respond first without waiting for them to call you — your service will stand out.
Relocate: Sometimes you have a situation where you upload more than one document for the same report. Now by using the Report ID # that you give your reports, multiple documents will automatically merge to the original uploaded report. So, if you had performed an inspection a month ago and now a re-inspection, the re-inspection will find the original uploaded report and will automatically be placed together with the original. This can also be done manually for other uses. This is one more feature that helps organize your reports, saving you time and increasing your efficiency.
Back by popular demand is the method to brand your website with our upload service. Mandatory report changes are still set to take place in December. HomeGauge users in NC will need 4.0 to make the change. Earlier versions will not have the features to support the new requirements from the state.
