What is my HomeGauge User Name used for?
It is used to identify you on HomeGauge.com. You use the user name that you selected when signing up, to sign in to HomeGauge.com.  If you have our Silver, Gold or Platinum plan then you also use that name as your personal web page, such as:
http://www.homegauge.com/shgi/username
Just replace the word "username" with your User Name.  Place that on all of your business cards and people can find you on the internet.  When they are looking at your site, they can go ahead and schedule appointments. Our Platinum plan also allows you to have your own website instead of just a web page, so that customers can go to www.yourcompanyname.com.

Can I get my own website / domain name instead of just having a web page on the HomeGauge.com site?
Sure. The Gold and Silver plan include a web page but sign up for the Platinum plan if you would like to have your own website with your own domain.

If I sign up for Platinum how do I create my web site?
You have three main options:

Option 1) Use the included Platinum web builder which will allow you to use our pre made professional web designs for home inspectors. You simply add some content that is personal for you. No HTML or web experience is needed. You can change the design or content at any time.

Option 2) Use a tool that you are familiar with, such as FrontPage or Dreamweaver, and upload your website thru FTP.

Option 3) Let us design a complete custom site for you. The design cost starts at $1250 you will be able to modify the content of pages, such as your price list at any time. Send us an email and we will be glad to send you a list of sites that we have done recently.

I still keep my company name and remain independent right?
Yes, that's right. We are not your employer and you are responsible for your own actions and how you use HomeGauge Inspection Software and Internet Tools.

Can I email my reports instead up uploading them?
Absolutely. Please read our Email vs Upload for the full story.

Can I just buy the HG softwareand print my reports without fooling with the Internet?
Absolutely. But if you are shy about learning, wait until you see how easy it is to get set-up.

Can I use the HomeGauge Services logo on my cards and stationary?
Please do. You can use our logo on your own material with your company name, but the logos must be the same color and tint and cannot be altered or changed.
